Sachin Tendulkar has today made 200 runs in one day internationals.I was a big follower of cricket ,the madness was to the extent that i watched matches in my board exams.I made most noise when india won and got really disappointed when it lost. I would get irritated if someone even talked to me during a close finish match.But this all changed when match fixing thing came to light. My interest waned and i followed the matches just from results.The only full match which i watched was 2003 world cup final. In recent years i went to watch an IPL match but there was no great excitement about the outcome just it felt good to sit with so many shouting fans.
But today i felt same madness coming back someone shouted in office that Sachin is on 182 and suddenly i started cricinfo ,it was slow.then i started four other websites rediff ,indiatimes and yahoo.Can say yahoo was faster than others.In 190s one of younger colleagues came to seek some help,I snapped at him and then i realised that yes i am again getting excited after a long time.It took a long time to reach 200 and it was getting really frustrating that dhoni was not giving strike to sachin and i believe i started really cursing him.But in end everything ended well.
It is a great innings and as they say and i agree that sachin is god of cricket.
